SCM Champs SAP consultant reviewing global logistics

SAP Logistics Management (SAP LGM) Implementation Services

Manage your warehouse and shipping in one cloud system with SAP Logistics Management on SAP BTP.

Many warehouses still run on paper, spreadsheets, and phone calls. Teams count stock twice because they don't trust the first count. Shipping is handled in a separate tool that doesn't connect to the rest of the operation.

For a site like this, SAP EWM can be more than the operation needs. It does a lot more than some warehouses require and the project can be bigger than the team is ready to handle. SAP LGM is the middle option. It's a cloud WMS that also handles shipping, with a simpler approach than a full enterprise warehouse system.

SCM Champs is an official SAP partner. We help companies across the USA with SAP LGM implementation, from the first review of your sites through go-live and support. And if SAP LGM isn't the right fit for you, we'll tell you.

Is SAP LGM the Right Fit for
Your Warehouse?

Your Warehouse has Grown but the Process has Not

More orders and more staff, but the same old way of working. That means mistakes and overtime.
SAP LGM gives your team one clear process, with each task checked off on a phone or scanner.
Outcome: Every shift works the same way.

Your Stock Lives in a Spreadsheet

One person keeps the file, and your ERP stock doesn’t match the floor.
In SAP LGM, stock updates the moment someone picks or moves it.
Outcome: Everyone sees the same real stock count.

You're Using Three Tools that Don't Connect

Data gets typed again every time it moves between tools, and that’s where mistakes happen.
SAP LGM runs warehouse and shipping in one cloud WMS, linked to your ERP.
Outcome: Fewer screens and no double typing.

You’re Moving to S/4HANA and Need a Warehouse Decision

Classic SAP WM isn’t a good choice for a new setup, and SAP EWM can cost too much for a small site.
SAP LGM is a simple SAP WM alternative. We’ll show which system fits each site.
Outcome: A clear plan for every site.

Your site is too small for EWM

Your site runs on workarounds, but a full EWM project would cost more than the problem.
SAP LGM is made for simple warehouses, regional DCs and smaller sites.
Outcome: A real WMS without a huge project.

You need to ship, not to plan a network

You ship parcel, LTL and full truckload, not ocean, rail or air.
SAP LGM picks carriers, combines loads, sends tenders and tracks shipments.
Outcome: Simple shipping that works.

SAP LGM vs SAP EWM:

Which Warehouse Solution Fits Your Business?

Most warehouse projects start by asking which product is better. Neither one is. SAP LGM and SAP EWM are built for different kinds of sites and Stock Room Management keeps simple classic WM setups running inside S/4HANA. Many companies end up using a mix, with each site on the system that suits it.

Sites Continuing from Classic WM

Note 1:
Choose SAP EWM if your warehouse uses conveyors and other automation, or needs slotting and labor management. SAP LGM is meant for simpler sites, and the project is usually smaller. How long it takes depends on your sites, so we'll share a real timeline once we've seen them.

Note 2:
For shipping by sea, rail, or air, or for a big transport network with many routes, you'll want SAP TM. Most smaller sites only book parcel, LTL, and full truckload shipments, and SAP LGM handles that well.

Moving from Classic SAP WM or LE-TRA to SAP LGM

Why Companies Look at this Now

SAP is moving away from classic WM and LE-TRA. For most S/4HANA on-premise customers, the right to use classic WM ended at the end of 2025. LE-TRA rights end in 2030. Many teams also have daily problems, like no scanners, manual workarounds, or sites that all work differently.

What the Move Involves

First, we look at each site: how people work, the data, the integrations and how complex the work is. Then we pick the right system for each site: SAP LGM, SAP EWM or Stock Room Management. We connect it to S/4HANA and go live one site at a time. We use standard processes, so old problems don’t move to the new system.

One Thing to be Clear About

SAP LGM is a new product, and SAP adds features with each release. For some sites, it already has everything. For others, SAP EWM or another SAP option is better today. That’s why we check every site before you spend money.

Where SAP LGM Fits in Your SAP Landscape

LGM is not a module inside S/4HANA. It runs on SAP BTP alongside it, and the two exchange data.

Typically, orders and deliveries flow from S/4HANA into LGM, with confirmations, stock movements and shipping status going back the other way. The exact scope depends on your setup. Out the other side, LGM integrates with SAP Business Network Freight Collaboration, so carriers receive tenders and send back status without anyone sending an email.

Why SCM Champs for LGM Implementation?

Support from Experienced SAP Supply Chain Consultants

Our team works across several SAP supply chain modules, including SAP EWM, SAP TM, SAP Yard Logistics (YL), and now SAP Logistics Management (LGM).

Because we know all of them, we can look at your warehouse and logistics problems and tell you plainly whether SAP LGM is the right fit, or whether SAP EWM or a mix would work better.

Our approach

Plan & Assess

We review your sites, processes and data and compare them with what SAP LGM does as standard. If SAP LGM isn’t the right fit, we’ll say so.

Build & Test

We set up SAP LGM, connect it to S/4HANA and your carriers, and test it with your real daily work. Anything we agree on is written down and shared with you.

Go Live & Support

We go live one site at a time, train your team, and plan ahead so adding more sites later is easy.

You don’t need a partner with years of SAP LGM experience. The product is new. You need a partner who knows warehouses, knows where SAP LGM fits, and tells you when it doesn’t.
